Primary 6 and 7 children had a fantastic two days in the beautiful surroundings of Carlingford where they climbed, ran, jumped, rowed, swam, fired and dodged till everyone was exhilarated and exhausted at the same time.
They (and the staff!) learned how to use safety harnesses to help walk tight ropes at dizzy heights; and practised using each other as targets using bows and arrows, then later with laser rifles. They jumped off the pier into the harbour before paddling out to the water trampoline. Foot golf proved a challenge even to Gaelic players, and the Night Line walk showed how much we depend on our eyesight.
There wasn’t much sleep for some, but for everyone there were challenges, fun times and sweet dreams back home.
