A massive ‘Thank you’ to Declan Sloan from Mourne Veg for coming in to visit Primary 5 to talk about the journey of vegetables from the farm to the fork. The boys and girls had prepared a selection of questions to ask him, ranging from ‘Who inspired you to be a farmer?’ to ‘What happens to the potatoes when they are harvested?’ The children thoroughly enjoyed the question and answer time and have gained a wealth of knowledge to help them with this aspect of their ‘Journeys’ WAU topic.
